The renowned publisher has appointed a seasoned producer from Respawn Entertainment to direct the development team at their internal studio, which is currently developing the anticipated over-the-shoulder action-packed title known as this innovative game.

On Wednesday, 2K president a key figure updated staff about this decision through an official communication, which emphasized that early feedback sessions had shown the need for a distinct vision.

Below is the entire message from the president's announcement:
Hello Everyone—
I understand you all just finished your town hall - I trust you’re as enthusiastic as I am with the recent updates. Previously I shared you all a update, I stated the following: “I am confident in this crew. You all are some of the most driven and creative developers we have had the chance to partner with - and we’re looking forward for that partnership to continue.”
With your dedication and adaptability, particularly over the last year, you consistently demonstrate that.
The gamer responses from last fall’s Project ETHOS playtest was enlightening. It validated the promise of a roguelike shooter but made clear we still had improvements to make. It uncovered the need for a clearer vision.
The progress is encouraging to see how far you’ve progressed. You accepted the input to consideration and reimagined Project ETHOS with a revitalized vision - one that’s positioned to fulfill its potential to our audience.
The belief in this project increases every day. To boost the remarkable advancement you’ve made, It is a pleasure to announce Ben Brinkman as the latest Director of 31st Union. Following some time of talks, he starts with us on next week.
Ben’s leadership and expertise in the PVP shooter field is extensive, having devoted the recent years creating and leading some of the most popular series in gaming, including Call of Duty: Black Ops, and lately, the battle royale hit.
I invite you all in welcoming him next week. We are all looking forward to continue observing the development of Project ETHOS in the time to follow.
